Have a Happy Day Today!

Here in Maine it is a typical fall rainy day. The perfect day to curl up with a good book, a hot drink of your choice (mine would be blueberry coffee or tea) and a warm muffin (blueberry of course). The blueberry harvest is just about over, if its not all completed and blueberry is still high on my list with pumpkin coming right up.

If you haven’t caught it yet the focus is going to swing towards all things food part way. I will still be publishing the type of content this blog started out with – How to be the best you can be – but I am adding all things food to the mix. and a little more of me!

The food part will help you to eat to be the best you can be in our changing times.

There will be recipes and tips on how to make your food dollar go to the max and still eat great healthy food.

This may well be one of the most important messages of life.

Listen to the words of the song but the real message is in the words on the screen!

The Game of Life by Tom Murasso

An ultimate truth I believe is: we are focal points of the One/God/Source.
Murasso Game of Life

An ultimate truth I believe is: we are focal points of the One/God/Source.

That means we all are a unique facet of One Consciousness that knows no boundaries and has infinite creative potential.

Now, how (and why) would we, beings of unlimited infinite ability like that experience the earth game knowing its all an illusion?

We would have all the answers already. It would be like going to a football game and the referee tossing the coin, catching it in mid-air, and then calling out the winner of the face-off. Boring! We came to EXPERIENCE the football game and all of its excitement.

We came to experience the Earth game as well and ALL of its excitement! But, the only way we can do this is to totally forget our true nature to forget who we are!

Now, to play the Earth game, or the Game of Life as it is sometimes called, we need a set of rules or Prior Agreements. Things like gravity, the Earth turning on its axis orbiting the sun, and all the earthly things we experience sky, oceans, food, and on and on.

These are the rules of the game. All games like football, baseball, golf, and tennis have rules and you need to follow the rules to play the game. The same goes for playing here on Earth and in the Universe.

One rule is the movement of the planets and the aspects they make to each other. The science of the movements of the planets is called Astrology.

Dec 21, 2012 is the date when there is an exact specific alignment of our solar system with the galactic center. To continue with our analogy of games and rides, think of this major aspect in the heavens as the amusement park ride called “Earth” taking a different roller coaster track that hasn’t been used for 26,000 years!

These astrological patterns and aspects of the planets affect all of us playing the Earth game, however those of us who haven’t woken up to our true creative nature get to experience them by default.

So, to sum things up…

You and I come here to experience the Earth game/ride called Life.

The only way we can do this is to forget our true nature forget who we are.

At one point on our journey by prior agreement we begin the process of waking up.

Our multi-dimensional Over-Soul, or Higher-Self, sends us the people, books, experiences, tragedies, etc. to help us open our eyes.

We come to realize we create it all…

We start to remember our true nature…

We start to have thoughts like, Wow, that’s a hellava ride! Lets do it again! or, Im ready to go home!

”
Or… we can choose to stay asleep. Yep! Some of us have chosen to not wake up at all this time around, and that’s cool… its all good and perfect… and illusionary…

So now, here’s an opportunity to buy a ticket for the ride called, 2012 and Beyond!

If we choose to buy the ticket, we have a chance to experience a game that has never been played before a multi-dimensional existence using a crystallized light body. Oh, and no more duality, or ‘contrast’ as that Abraham-Hicks guy always says.

It will be the promise of perfect peace and harmony, melding in and out of the Oneness, unconditional love and compassion for all, or the ALL.

There are also other ‘game of life’ rides we can take: 2012 and the Same ‘ol Shit, and 2012 and The End of The World.” (There are actually an infinite number of scenarios; Im just having trouble coming up with witty names for them!)

The joyful thing to know is we always have the choice of getting on whichever ride we want and our reality will lovingly manifest the game we want to play. We create it all.

LOVE and APPRECIATION

“You can never run out of LOVE and APPRECIATION. You have an endless supply! Share your LOVE with everyone and everything, and APPRECIATE your manifestations – even the things that aren’t so great ’cause they help you choose better intentions.” ~Tom Murasso

I would add that if you don’t appreciate what you have and give back from what you have, you will never have true wealth.

Just in case you don’t know me well enough to know my definition of true wealth, here it is again:
True wealth is not just about the money. It is about having an abundance of love and light; family, friends and relationships; and lastly having enough; enough to complete my mission and live the lifestyle I choose.

May you always have enough!

1 Corinthians 13 (New Living Translation)

Love Is the Greatest
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when full understanding comes, these partial things will become useless.

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Your Behavior

Your behavior is the ongoing revealing of yourself. What you do, tells everyone who and what you are. Change your thoughts and you can change your position in life and how other people view you. You can start this process at anytime. Why not start right now?

You Reap What You Sow

The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.

“Leave me alone,” he growled… To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was smiling — her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows.

“Are you hungry?” she asked.

“No,” he answered sarcastically. “I’ve just come from dining with the president.. Now go away.”

The woman’s smile became even broader.

Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. “What are you doing, lady?” the man asked angrily. “I said to leave me alone.

Just then a policeman came up. “Is there any problem, ma’am?” he asked..

“No problem here, officer,” the woman answered. “I’m just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?”

The officer scratched his head. “That’s old Jack. He’s been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?”

“See that cafeteria over there?” she asked. “I’m going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile.”

“Are you crazy, lady?” the homeless man resisted. “I don’t want to go in there!” Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.
“Let me go, officer. I didn’t do anything..”

“This is a good deal for you, Jack,” the officer answered. “Don’t blow it.”
Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived.

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. “What’s going on here, officer?” he asked.”What is all this, is this man in trouble?”

“This lady brought this man in here to be fed,” the policeman answered.

“Not in here!” the manager replied angrily. “Having a person like that here is bad for business.”

Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. “See, lady. I told you so. Now if you’ll let me go. I didn’t want to come here in the first place”

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. “Sir, are you familiar with Eddy andAssociates, the banking firm down the street?”

“Of course I am,” the manager answered impatiently. “They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms.”

“And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?”

“What business is that of yours?”

I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company.”

“Oh..”

The woman smiled again.. “I thought that might make a difference.”

She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a laugh. “Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?”

“No thanks, ma’am,” the officer replied. “I’m on duty.”

“Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?”

“Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice.”

The cafeteria manager turned on his heel. “I’ll get your coffee for you right away, officer.”

The officer watched him walk away. “You certainly put him in his place,” he said.

“That was not my intent… Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this.”

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.

“Jack, do you remember me?”

Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. “I think so — I mean you do look familiar.”

“I’m a little older perhaps,” she said. “Maybe I’ve even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry.”

“Ma’am?” the officer said questioningly. He couldn’t believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.

“I was just out of college,” the woman began. “I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn’t find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment.. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat.”

Jack lit up with a smile. “Now I remember,” he said. “I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy.”

“I know,” the woman continued. “Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble. Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right.”

“So you started your own business?” Old Jack said.

“I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered..” She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. “When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons. He’s the personnel director of my company. I’ll go talk to him now and I’m certain he’ll find something for you to do around the office.”

She smiled. “I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet. If you ever need anything, my door is always open to you.”

There were tears in the old man’s eyes. “How can I ever thank you?” he asked.

“Don’t thank me,” the woman answered. “To God goes the glory. He led me to you.”

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways.. “Thank you for all your help, officer,” she said.

“On the contrary, Ms. Eddy,” he answered. “Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the coffee.”

Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don’t forget that when you “cast your bread upon the waters,” you never know how it will be returned to you. God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart.

God Within

Closer than a touch on your skin,
Deeper than a breath you draw in,
Stronger than a Hurricane wind,
Is the dewlling of God within.

The Dash by Linda Ellis

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Yeah, sure. All’s right with the world in 30 seconds? Even drugs don’t work that fast. But scientists and economists have begun to study happiness in a rigorous way, and they’re learning a few things about emotional elevation—including several proven ways to give yourself an instant mood lift without the guilt of a Godiva binge or shopping spree.

Make Someone Laugh! – Know any good jokes? no – tell a funny happening – let them laugh at/with you. When someone laughs it makes everyone around them feel better. Seriously: Hearing someone else laugh triggers a response in areas of your brain related to smiling, according to research from University College, London.

Physical Contact! – Give and get a hug! the same with a kiss or at the very least a pat on the shoulder. The hug will give you the biggest mood lift and frequent positive physical contact, like a hug will actually make you live longer and keep your blood pressure lower. A study from the University of North Carolina found that women who got several hugs a day from their husbands had significantly lower blood pressure than those embraced less often. Another study using fMRIs showed women’s brains to be far less reactive to the threat of mild electrical shock when holding a loved one’s hand versus a stranger’s.

Reminisce – Get out the old photos and share them with someone, especially photos of happy occasions. Just looking at them yourself will lift your mood. A survey conducted by a British psychologist queried subjects about their mood before and after they ate chocolate, drank wine, listened to music, and gazed at photos of loved ones. Only the photos gave a noticeable lift—an 11 percent improvement.

Last But Not Least – Pay It Forward! Try this and see how good it makes you feel. Smile at everyone and say to them “Isn’t this a great day!
